Bindery/Finishing Dept.Freeport Press is seeking individuals who are looking for full-time employment in a clean, climate controlled environment with opportunities to advance. The positions are for Binder Operators, in the Bindery/Finishing Department.Freeport Press is a successful and fast growing company that has been in continuous operation since 1880. We've made a name for ourselves as the most efficient printer in North America through innovative business practices, continuous investment in state-of-the-art technology, employee development and training, and the strategic implementation of systems and process controls.Skills/Qualifications:Able to work 12 hour shifts (7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am) to meet customer demands.Able to work overtime as required.Effective communication skills.Great attendance.Possess a good mechanical aptitude and intermediate math skills.Able to use hand tools to setup and adjust equipment.Able to work with minimal supervision.Experienced in using rulers, calipers and other measuring devices.Physically capable of lifting up to 60# occasionally.Knowledge of how to read machine blueprints and parts list.Physically capable of bending, kneeling, standing/walking on cement floors for long periods of time.Responsibilities:Setup and operate an automatic bindery machine containing multiple functions and station capabilities which can be electromechanically combined with other equipment and devices to produce a complete bindery and finishing unit that processes printed materials into books, catalogs, manuals, and magazines.Responsible for quality and meeting production goals.Lead and direct a crew of up to four people.Troubleshoot equipment problems.
