Grounds/Maintenance Worker

Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES: Performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks to ensure cleanliness of county buildings, break room, restroom and sinks, e.g., sweeps, dust mops, wet mops, vacuums; restocks restroom supplies; dusts furniture; empties trash receptacles; recycles cardboard, cans and paper; washes walls, windows and woodwork; sets up rooms or gymnasium for activities. Delivers supplies and interoffice mail. Disassembles and discards furniture and other items. Shovels snow or operates snow blower to remove snow from steps and sidewalks; moves furniture; helps in replacing ceiling tile and light bulbs; mows lawns; trims bushes and shrubs, etc. Opens building as assigned. Attends required training sessions and meetings. Performs other related duties as required, to include but not limited to: serving on committees. PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Ability To Lift And Carry Up To 50 Lbs.
