Job Summary Sheakley is currently seeking a Safety & Risk Management Consultant for our client in Columbus, OH. Sheakley Risk & Safety Solutions is seeking a Safety and Risk Management Consultant that can service the entire state of Ohio. They would ideally be based around central Ohio to assist with travel time. The bulk of their time would be spent in the central, northeast, and northwest Ohio regions. This is a full-time position. The Safety and Risk Management Consultant will work closely with all members of the risk management team, specifically with the Safety Coordinator, whose job it is to manage new and existing clients, and to keep the field consultants organized and on task. This position will require extensive fieldwork and travel. Compensation Package: $75K-$90K Staffing Type: Direct Hire Scope of Work: Safety Consulting Principal Duties & Responsibilities : Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following: Provide OSHA-related training to clients, both in-person and virtually, and in some cases develop material used for client specific, or custom training Conduct risk assessments, job site inspections and other similar evaluations of client's facilities, job sites, and safety programs and develop follow-up reports Consult with clients on workplace safety matters Develop custom safety policies, programs, and manuals for clients Provide administrative support in documenting services provided Attend conferences, meetings, and continuing education courses related to your primary areas of responsibility Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications/ Education/Experience: Requirements Advanced knowledge of OSHA standards and other safety industry regulatory standards. 3-5 years of OSHA-related safety experience OSHA outreach training experience preferred CSP or CHST strongly preferred The ability to provide training on the primary OSHA standards is required Experience working with multiple companies Regular travel is required, including some overnight Skills, Specialized Knowledge, and Abilities Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality Able to meet deadlines, work independently without direct supervision, as well in a team environment Must be highly organized and capable of managing a large, ever-changing, client workload Excellent customer service, telephone, electronic, and written communication skills. Analyze and recommend improvements for safe work practices, policies and training programs. Demonstrate ability to solve problems, analyze systems and data and suggest appropriate solutions. Technical experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
