Role & Responsibilities This Registered Nurse reports to the Director of Nursing and Brightstar Care of Greater Chester County Owners as appropriate. This Registered Nurse is responsible for all aspects of the skilled nursing home health services at Brightstar Care of Greater Chester County. This includes providing these services, supervising staff providing these services, managing documentation, policy implementation regarding these services, and being the primary interface with our national customers. This Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring that the delivery of care is appropriate to state guidelines and standards of quality.This Registered Nurse is responsible for working with all medical disciplines to ensure coordination of services for clients. These disciplines will include other RNs, LPNs, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Certified Nursing Assistants and at times Physicians. This person is responsible for ensuring that all clients' needs are identified through the assessment process and addressed through the implementation and reevaluation of the Plan of Care. This Registered Nurse will ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete, and meets acceptable state and other standards as appropriate. This person will oversee and manage the coordination of all Skilled National Accounts that Brightstar Care of Greater Chester County chooses to conduct business with.The appropriate candidate will possess a Registered Nurse License within the State of Pennsylvania. They will have had at least 2 years of recent experience with the following skilled services: Wound management Venous puncture Medication management Ostomy care and experience Catheter care and experience Tracheostomy care and experience IV infusion experience including the ability to perform all types of IV administration and insertion of a peripheral IV Skills also desired include : Ability to function as a team player Ability to function independently Ability to be a leader and manage time appropriately Ability to handle situations with tact and ease Excellent independent assessment skills Previous experience with home health care. Good customer service experience. This position will initially be a part-time position with the ability to grow into a full-time position quickly as the skilled aspect piece of the company continues to grow quickly. Hours will be flexible and based on the needs of the customers and the organization. There is the ability for the ideal candidate to work their hours around other aspects of their current career or daily routine. Reliable car/auto insurance Clean background and criminal record Understands regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations. Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct staff. Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills. Comply with accepted professional standards of practice. Proven ability to build quality and implement improvements within the operation. Excellent interpersonal skills. Analytic/Critical thinker. Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff and community. Treat clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image. Case management skills are a plus. Policy development is a plus. Ability to travel daily including weekends, nights, and holidays.
