Description:

1:1 Part-time Respite Support Staff Need - (JOB# JO-RT) We are seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist a young man in the Liverpool area. The Direct Support Professional will assist individual in getting out into the community to locate recreational activities of interest that will assist him in meeting new people and developing new relationships. Any potential Direct Support Professional will need to have exceptional communication skills and listening skills in order to foster trust and develop a positive working relationship with this individual. Potential DSP should also be comfortable in working in a home that has pets. This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency. Starting pay : Starting pay is $15/hour and increases with years of relevant experience. Schedule: 2 weekdays 1:00pm-4:00pm Location: Liverpool, NY Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work independently in the person's home and/or community. Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills. No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred. New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community. All job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check completed by Exceptional Family Resources (EFR). EOE EFR is a qualified employer in the New York State Health Care and Mental Hygiene Worker Bonus (HWB) Program. Employees who meet the minimum required hours may be eligible for up to two bonuses, with a total maximum payout of $3000.
