In search of: Computer Technician I Full-time hourly - temporary, potentially permanent Pay Rate: $15 - $18/hour commensurate with experience Position Summary: This position supports the Y mission, a nonprofit organization that strengthens the foundations of community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Coordinates maintenance and support of technology tools and environments by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and leading the Internal Help Desk activities. Administers and provides internal support for the Y's computers, printers, servers, and related equipment. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in Information Systems, Business, Communications, or related field preferred. Minimum two (2) years of relevant technical experience with Windows workstations and servers. An understanding of Office365 and Active Directory is preferred. Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail. Responsibilities: Provides prompt response to all technical support issues and participates at all levels of support as needed (may include off-hour on-call rotation participation) Coordinate technical support activities with other technology department staff. Monitors and responds quickly and effectively to requests submitted to the help desk. Resolves problems to the end user's satisfaction. Administer user accounts across all platforms in collaboration with other primary stakeholders. Tests, configures, and installs new networking equipment (routers, switches, wireless etc.) and servers. Maintains Edge Security (Firewalls, data services, etc.) Manage, and enforce network security and privacy policies. Maintains inventory of all network equipment, servers, and related software and software licenses. Manage a preventative maintenance plan for network equipment and servers that includes routine inspections, scheduled cleaning, and critical updates. Maintain and improve your knowledge base in areas of technology relevant to YMCA initiatives. Builds relationships and creates a welcoming environment for all end users. Support YMCA initiatives; understand, discuss, and promote all YMCA programs. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
