Description:
Job Purpose: Supervision ensures that all ancillary support to technical operations is performed promptly and in accordance with written policies and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities: Culture media preparation. Cleaning and sterilizing of laboratory glassware and supplies. Prepare and set up samples for bacteriological Coliform testing. Participate in proficiency testing. Receive and prepare samples for the Microbiology Department. Reviews data packages and signs coliform laboratory reports. Compiles Non-coliform report for analyst review Provide support and assistance in the testing of special projects. Utilize Laboratory Informational Management System (LIMS) for sample login, resulting and reporting. Prepare testing solutions; perform daily equipment QC calibrations, and record associated data in Laboratory Informational Management System (LIMS). General maintenance to ensure the upkeep of the laboratory Other duties deemed necessary by supervisor or manager. Qualifications: High School diploma Completion of Orientation Checklist after a minimum of three months of on-the-job experience in all Nova's technical areas. Physical Requirements: Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act( FMLA) and other federal, state and local standards Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
