We offer Health, Dental and Vison Insurance, generous paid time off and great employee discounts! SUMMARY: Maintain cash posting functions and provide clerical support to the Billing Department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES included but not limited to the following : Good working knowledge of computer applications to include Brightree, Excel, E-Mail and other software programs as needed. Apply payments to individual accounts receivable claims for all payor sources. (i.e. Medicare, Title 19, Waiver, Commercial Insurances, Private Pay) Process payment determinations for all payor sources on denied claims, deductibles and co-pays. Keep cash posting current. Update status code for claims and documents claims. Post and finish mid and month end deadlines. Ability to credit and allow adjustments, bad debt, and write offs. Notify billing staff of any contractual adjustments outside of established limits and guidelines. Post unapplied payments monthly. Log CMN's, authorizations and prescriptions into Brightree, verifying completeness and accuracy. Follow up work on CMN's, authorizations, prescriptions, etc. as necessary for appropriate completion of billing process. Become familiar with reimbursement guidelines and stay current by attending meetings. Run reports to assist in obtaining necessary renewals for CMN's, authorizations and prescriptions in a timely manner. Review and resolve CMN's and authorizations from the specific report run. Completes Convert-to-Purchase authorization requests by payor and proper Brightree System Requirements met. Compliant with all applicable Federal and State licensure and regulatory requirements and HME Specialists. Log and post refund and recoup activity. Perform end of day cash posting functions and balancing against deposit. Ability to read and interpret remittance and payment explanations. Participate in Improvement of Operational Performance (IOP) activities. Complete required annual and monthly on-line courses. Participate in traditional and e-learning programs. Communicate with management of any trending/re-coop issues. Perform other duties or special projects when necessary. Support the HME Specialists' Mission Statement, vision and values.
