Description:

Thomas Jefferson Foundation at Monticello is currently seeking a Dishwasher/Prep Cook for our Café. This position reports to the Lead Cook, and is a Non-Exempt position. The purpose of this job is to help in the prep and stocking of food and drinks, and in assisting keeping Farm Table clean and safe. Essential functions Responsible for maintaining kitchen and dining area with a high level of sanitation to minimize food borne illness and cross contamination Help culinary team in prepping, receiving, stocking both food and drinks Wash dishes, pots, and pans as needed using standardized procedures, and proper chemicals. Help to be a second pair of eyes in food safety Taking out garbage, recycling, compost and maintaining those cans clean. Assist in the proper running of the café by being a team player Requirements Reports on time Must be able to work in a team environment 1 year kitchen experience preferred Maintaining a food handler's permit preferred Ability to communicate with a positive attitude The Thomas Jefferson Foundation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
