The Maintenance Tech II is expected to perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair duties for the property, including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, and plumbing skills. Also responsible for ensuring that the rooms and property are maintained in the best possible condition, with the least inconvenience to guests. Must approach all encounters with guests, employees, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Please see the attached job description for more information regarding this position. Must have reliable transportation. All FT associates receive a Jekyll Island Parking Pass as part of their compensation. Starting rate for experienced Maintenance Tech ll is $18.00 per hour based on qualifications and you will be provided a Jekyll Island Parking Pass. Qualification, Education & Experience Standards Previous customer service & hotel maintenance experience preferred. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have reliable transportation. At least 3 years practical experience in one or more of the technical trades (HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.) Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English.
