PRIMARY FUNCTION You are primarily responsible for accurately maintaining status of the department's engineering data (CAD models, drawings, bills of materials, material content, service parts list, etc.) and processing engineering changes (ECNs) through the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system as requested by engineering team members, suppliers, or other SawStop departments. You work closely with other members of the Sustaining Engineering team and cross functional team members to understand and execute the changes and ensure accurate data is available and shared. Regular supervision is required, and this position will provide up to daily reporting of task progress and completion to their manager. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain Engineering department product data, including: 3D CAD models 2D CAD drawings Bills of materials Raw material datasheets Product quality documents Service parts lists DFMEAs Process Engineering Changes (ECs) efficiently, taking necessary actions within the PLM system and supplying notifications to affected departments and suppliers Provide regular and as requested updates of product data to Operations and Sales teams Assign part numbers and descriptions for new components, assemblies, and documents Support New Product Development teams in establishing product documentation in approved formats Support warehouse and Operations teams during product inspection analysis Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or project manager Work both individually and on a team REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma Intermediate ability in Microsoft Excel Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams) Good written and verbal communication skills Able to work hands on in a warehouse environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associates degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Business High proficiency using Microsoft Office Excel Experience operating within and administering a PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) or PDM (Product Data Management) system, SolidWorks PDM preferred 3+ years' experience in a (consumer) product manufacturing environment Basic understanding of common manufacturing processes and materials, for example injection molded plastic, sheetmetal stamping, and die cast aluminum Basic understanding of engineering specifications, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics COMPANY PROFILE SawStop is the world leader in power tool safety.
