JOB DESCRIPTION Summary Functions as the primary expert for the application of all medical device instruments manufactured by the Biomedical Systems business unit. Provides high quality operational and technical application support for customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Answers customer's scientific questions about all Biomedical instruments.• Collaborates with R&D, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Service and Quality Assurance to resolve customer issues.• Trains customers, sales representatives, and distributors as needed.• Reviews product changes and defects with development and provides them with client feedback to improve the overall product.• Continues to acquire technical knowledge and maintains understanding of current practices.• Prepares reports of completed projects for publication in technical journals for use in further applied or theoretical research activities.• Works with R&D and Engineering to evaluate new product opportunities. Acts as the technical liaison and application expert to develop product requirements.• Identifies new technologies in the market that might impose risk to current established technology or products within the company.• Assists with related special projects and other duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biology, or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
