TRIGO Global Quality Solutions has an immediate opening for a Quality Inspector/ Yard Jockey Backup in Auburn Hills, MI. Overall Purpose of the Quality Inspector Provide Quality services and support for all missions assigned to a manufacturing or warehouse site while ensuring a healthy and safe work environment. Reports to Site Supervisor/Site Leaders Responsibilities (To include but not limited to the following) Client Relationship & Business Development Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria Operations Check/inspect manufactured parts or products for defects Read and follow work instructions and general processes Use measuring or testing equipment as needed Ensure products meet quality standards Display excellent customer service Must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies Assist as a yard jockey when needed Must perform circle check/walk around on equipment at the beginning of every shift Performs trailer movements Perform a Blind Tally using a lumberman's count on inbound and outbound shipments, when required May band/Strap product and verify material is ready for shipment Remove any old placards Return/manage dunnage Remove skids/containers Verify quantities on labels; if a quantity has been changed, record it on the tally Re-count if a variance is discovered Verify appropriate placarding and markings on all outgoing shipments Supports company Health and Safety Policies Organization & Management Collect and record data Technical Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements Other Any other duties as assigned Knowledge, skills, abilities Hard skills Must be able to speak and read in the English language Good communications skills Must be able to multi-task Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material Ability lift /move 50 pounds Must have reliable transportation Values & attitudes Global team spirit Team player Caring for people Open-minded Excellence Reactive Resilient to pressure Rigorous Customer focus Client oriented Reliable & trustworthy Flexible Initiative Autonomous Innovative Daring Work experience One year of experience of verifiable experience as a yard jockey Valid Chauffeur or Driver's license Ability to read blueprints a plus Education background High School Diploma or Equivalent recommended or comparable work experience About TRIGO Global Quality Solutions Founded in 1997, TRIGO is a multinational company providing operational Quality Management solutions for the manufacturing sector, especially in the automotive and aerospace industries.
