Summary Description At The Jones Center, we see graphic design as visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. The Graphic Designer will take concepts and ideas to create compelling visual representations in various print and digital media. From designing web graphics, static and digital signage, and marketing collateral to collaborating on a new brand identity for The Jones Center, this role will be primarily responsible for how the organization visually presents itself. The Graphic Designer must have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the organization, the Graphic Designer will translate strategic direction into high-quality design, understand branding and marketing, and be able to find the right style and layout for every project. The role will fulfill signage and print production needs across the organization. The Graphic Designer will also help update content on The Jones Center's current websites and play a vital role in establishing an entirely new web presence for the organization. Primary Responsibilities Use multiple software programs to develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals and articulate The Jones Center's brand aesthetic. Collaborate and strategize to produce various designs and materials, including web ads, digital and static banners, brochures, direct mailers, onsite signage, billboards, campaign and promotional items, web pages, reports and presentations, and other communication pieces. Review concepts and designs with appropriate staff to obtain buy-in and approval. Revise work as necessary based on a collaborative feedback process. Ensure that designs meet expectations and brand standards; appropriately represent The Jones Center and its partners. Work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and prioritize projects based on workload. Fulfill print production needs across the organization, creating and updating indoor signage and billboards, facilitating art approvals with third parties, and ushering projects through print production to final installation. Create digital signage, including scoreboards and indoor monitors, while building capacity to meet future signage needs as the organization enters new phases of a significant campuswide expansion. Create and maintain graphical content for The Jones Center's current websites. Help project-manage the third-party design and implementation of an entirely new website for the organization. Coordinate with web developers and IT manager to carry out tasks and projects associated with the new site. Support the design and creation of visually appealing web graphics. Manage the organization's digital assets; organize and maintain an internal graphics, photo, and video library. Some photography and video editing. Require skills and Experiences Associate or bachelor's degree or significant coursework in Art, Graphic Design or related fields or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 3 years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency. About The Jones Center The Jones Center is a recreation, education, and event center for families in downtown Springdale, Arkansas The Jones Center boasts a year-round ice arena, junior-Olympic lap pool, activity pool with a slide, world-class bike park, basketball court, fitness center, indoor track, conference center, and chapel/auditorium. Our facility is home to regional youth sports such as the Aqua-Hawgs swim team and the NWA Hockey Association as well as individual sports and activities like gymnastics, ballet, Taekwondo, and figure skating at affordable pricing for families. The Jones Center offers both memberships and scholarships, including free fitness classes such as Zumba, yoga, Silver Sneakers, synergy, and spin classes. Several other nonprofits organizations operate within our 220,000 sq. ft facility, including, Camp War Eagle and Hass Hall Academy.
