Maintenance Technician

Description:
POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Plant Operations Director the Maintenance Technician of the facilities which include physical building structures, mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C. systems, and related preventive maintenance of facility. Ensures that the facility follows all required codes, facility licensing requirements, and overall standards required by regulatory government agencies. Manages facility safety, building and facility compliance for accreditation of behavioral health services provided. Essential Duties: Maintain the safety of the building. Work closely with Director of Plant Ops for repairs of drywalls, paint, etc. Qualification Requirements Must have some trade experience. Must have knowledge of hand tools. Must have a valid Arizona driver's license, Level I AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card, and able to pass required clearances and background checks. Must be flexible to adjust to the needs of a fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, and display proficient oral/written communication skills. Must be available for weekend coverage. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Stand, walk, and sit during assigned shifts hours. Can manually handle patient belongings with gloved hands. Be able to manually assess a patient as part of a physical exam. Climb and reach or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Speak and have access to the special senses within normal limits (hearing, taste, smell, etc.) as it applies to patient care. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus ยท Must be capable of lifting, up to 50 pounds.
