As a Collections Specialist, you play a critical role in our company's overall success. Communication is key as you speak with clients about overdue bills or late payments and encourage them to pay their fees. You closely review our records to identify clients with unresolved bills and then contact them. While speaking with clients, you maintain a healthy balance between listening to them and sympathizing with their financial situation and convincing them to pay the money they owe. Your problem-solving skills come in handy as you work with our clients to find payment solutions that suit both them and us. After speaking with clients, you report your progress to management and keep them updated about billing statuses. You take pride in being an expert negotiator who helps both our clients and our company get the most out of each deal! HOW TO EXCEL AS A COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST Associate degree in business management, finance, or a related field Proficiency with Microsoft Office Bookkeeping and billing skills, including proficiency with accounts receivable and accounts payable High school degree or equivalent Are you empathetic and understanding? Do you have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills? Are you highly goal-oriented and driven to succeed? Do you have strong negotiation skills? Are you unafraid of the word "no"?
