JOB TITLE : SYAP-Activities Counselor DEPARTMENT: MYDP CLASSIFICATION : Non-Exempt CATEGORY : Temporary DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Observe and lead youth participants through hands on activities, presentations, games; and field trips; Ensure that all youth participants are supervised and maintain a safe and enjoyable summer activities environment; Act as a leader to all youth participants providing them with instructions for daily activities; Track each youth participant medical conditions and photo release restrictions; Keep track of activities supplies for summer activities; Perform head-counts, fill out paperwork, and maintain daily logs of participants throughout the day; Ensure Youth Employees and Youth participants are following safety protocols; Support youth participants with emotional and social development by encouraging understating and positive concepts; Identify Participants emotional issues and bring to Activities Coordinator attention; Assigned and perform daily set-up and cleanup of all activities areas; Assigned bus monitor duties for activities transportation schedule; Stay engaged in SYAP activities and with youth participants; Implement and execute program curriculum; Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 19 years old or older; High School Diploma or G.E.D. some college preferred; At least 2 years of work experience preferable with youth in a supervisory capacity; Must be able to exercise mature judgement; Ability to work in a variety of outside and indoor conditions and for long periods of time; Must obtain and maintain current adult and child CPR/AED certifications (provided during training); Must complete Mandatory Reporter Training; Must complete paid onboarding and training between May 29-June 2, 2023; Must be available fro m May 29, 2022-August 4, 2023 (10 Weeks); Must possess public speaking abilities, organization, teamwork, and the ability to multitask; Must pass a criminal background check; Must pass pre-employment drug screening; Indian Preference shall be applied to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with the Sac and Fox Tribal Code Section 9-1204. SUPERVISION: Activities Program Coordinator and MYDP Director SALARY: Must be able to work 7:45AM-5PM Monday through Thursday and Friday 10AM-2PM to conduct Training for SYAP-CIT Employees, 36-38 Hours per week; $14.00/Per Hour Job Posted by ApplicantPro
