DEPARTMENT: Press LOCATION: American Games (504 34th Avenue Council Bluffs, IA) SHEET FED PRESS HELPER What You'll Do This position will play a key role in assisting the press operator with running the press and for daily maintenance requirements and housekeeping. Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include: Prepare skids of paper to be loaded in the feeder. Observe and follow job ticket instructions. Maintain ink levels, dampener solution levels and oil levels. Assist operator with skid changes, roll changes and plate change/make readies. Adhere to daily maintenance requirements (posted at press). Prepare for advancement by learning all functions of press operation and responsibility. Maintain a clean work area. Demonstrate working in a safe and smart manner Other duties as assigned. What You'll Need High School Diploma or GED Associates degree preferred or technical training in specific area 2 to 5 years' experience in area of responsibility Ability to read and follow printed instructions Troubleshooting abilities Effective in time management Ability to direct subordinates, if applicable Moderate to advanced computer skills with the a ptitude to learn new computer software Ability to work well under minimal supervision Ability to direct subordinates and/or crew, if applicable Ability to objectively review information pertinent to position Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle multiple tasks in an organized manner within a fast paced environment Ability to apply strong attention to detail and produce work with accuracy Ability to work independently and self-direct work, and in a team oriented environment Ability to prioritize workflow, maintain schedules and follow up to meet deadlines Keen attention to detail Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
