Jicama was adopted from Boxers and Buddies in August of 2022 and renamed Tahoe. The family that adopted him loved him but weren't really ready for a giant breed puppy that matures into a stubborn, strong and pushy adolecent dog.Tahoe is in his teenage years and like a typical teenager, he is testing bounderies and testing patience. Tahoe would do best with an owner that is experienced with ghiant working breeds and/or dogos, mastiffs or danes specifically. He would also do best with an adopter that really wants to save and shape a dog into the best that they can be. Tahoe needs work and stability and love and lots of training to fill in the gaps he miossed in his early days. Still a young dog and not even 2, his future looks bright in the right enviornment. When you read his profile below, you will see that Tahoe didn't have the greatest start in life. Due to either that horrible start or maybe genetics or another cause that we are unaware of, Tahoe has a kidney disorder. His previous owners said that their vet diagnosed a still present kidney abnormality. This may cause future kidney infections and requires a special kidney diet to keep him as healthy as possible. We at Boxers and Buddies poured our hearts and souls into this family. We will help to support Tahoe's new adopter in anyway we can. We just want to see this boy happy, safe and living the life he deserves. ***PREVIOUS PROFILE****Our 6 beautiful white Dogo Argentino puppies are healthy and thriving! Time to start accepting applications for their forever families!These beautiful babies had a horrible start to their young lives: born in a neglectful and uncaring shelter that watched as puppies died and their mom get so sick she was unable to care for them. A 10 hour car trip to safety, only to have another puppy lose his fight within an hour of arriving, flea infestation, upper respiratory infections, pneumonia claimed yet another sibling. These puppies are fighters. They are survivors and they are ready to be loved and cared for the rest of their days There were a couple weeks of touch and go and several puppies wouldn't have survived without our help. All of the puppies have been well socialized, handled and exposed to different people, places, surfaces and sounds. Attending approved puppy training classes are a non-negotible requirement with adoption. These puppies have had a horrible start to their lives and barely survived. We are a little over protective of these puppies and they deserve to be blessed for the rest of their lives. That means 10-15 years of stability, training, love, attention, and vet care.Each puppy has their own personality which brings us to:Jicama: Jicama is a snuggle bug. He likes to play and wrestle with his siblings, but his favorite thing to do is get loves! He is good with kids, cats and other dogs but is a puppy and will need manners and training!We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions.
