Peta (nicknamed Sweet Girl) is a 3-year-old lab/plott hound mix. She is 70 lbs. of pure love and is not expected to get any larger. Peta was found as a stray and during her routine spay was found to be pregnant, she had 8 pups! Each one of her pups has gone to a happy home and now it is time for this beautiful mama to get her forever home. Peta plays well with other dogs, and children of all ages. Peta loves to run and swim so she will be a great addition to an active family. Peta will need a home without cats as she tends to rambunctious around them. Peta is in the process of her leash training and she is eager to please. A family that is willing to continue the work with her on that skill, and other training and socialization will be a perfect fit for her. She is very proud of her house and crate training skills that she has already mastered. Although Peta is house trained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. She is a goofy girl with a fun and goofy personality to match. Being high energy, Peta will benefit from an equally active family that will keep this girl on her toes. Outdoor adventures will be the highlight of her days.
