I'm a 1 year old German Shepherd/Bloodhound/American Pit Bull Terrier mix (check photos for DNA results!!) As my name suggests, I loooove the water! On a hot summer day, you can find me splashing in the kiddie pool or playing with the hose! Who doesn't love playing in the water? I am looking for a swimming buddy, fishing mate or if you need a lifeguard, I am your guy. The staff tells me I need some work on being a little less in your face? I'm not sure what that means, I just like giving kisses! I don't have much on the concept of boundaries...I am working on it, but know the right family will continue to help me out. I really like other dogs, but takes me a little time to feel comfortable - might be the confidence thing. If you're looking to add some energy into your life, look no further! I'm full of energy and can't wait to play with you. I can't wait to meet you. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets!
