Both adorable and tragic at the same time, the first photo shows Sasha and Scarlett when they arrived at the rescue many years ago, adjacent to a current photo. Obviously, when they arrived they were very young and extremely adorable. However, they had never been socialized, and it took quite some time for them to learn to trust humans, calm down, and become their best selves. Today, Sasha and Scarlett are absolutely wonderful, very friendly, happy ladies, who love to be with people. They are both in good condition, and are full of life, love, and energy. Sasha and Scarlett have big, fun personalities that make spending time with them a delight. Both girls enjoy cuddly lap time, lots of affection, romping in the yard, and walks. They are easy to walk together, and they get along with other dogs. Sasha (brown/gray, about 11 1/2 years old), is the mother of Scarlett (black/white, about 10 years old). They are both currently somewhat overweight, but should be at proper weight about 14 pounds for Sasha, and 17 pounds for Scarlett. They are Shih Tzu/Terrier mixes, each with one of a kind looks. Watching them evolve into the amazing girls they are today has been a joy, but very tragic at the same time, as they have been bypassed year after year for our classic, more typical Shih Tzus. It’s hard enough to adopt pairs, especially mixed breeds, but they have a special bond and we will keep them together for their senior years ahead.
