Meet Mittens! This little cutie was found by one of our volunteers. She was cold, skinny and HUNGRY for not only food - but ATTENTION! The volunteer lives in the county, so we can only speculate that she may have been dropped off in the area. She was SO appreciative of a warm belly and snuggly place to land. Although she is a gorgeous blue/gray color, she earned the name Mittens because of being found on a cold fall day. Since she is such a sweet girl she would love a home with a couple or single person and a older cat companion. This sweet girl is sure to make your heart and home complete! Although she was in a foster home wtih dogs, they seemed to startle her. We are not quite sure how she would warm up to them. She will need time to get comfortable in her new place I believe it's from being outside so she is more cautious. Once comfortable she is a great lap cat and loves to play. She will do good in a calm house. She gets along very well with older cats who are mellow and just want to cuddle. Animal is fostered in Racine, WI He/She is scheduled for alteration on 11/29/23. If adopted prior to this date, adopter will sign an alteration contract and submit a $100 reimbursable deposit at the time of alteration. We ask that the deposit be in the form of a CHECK. Adopter will be expected to bring the animal to this surgery appointment on day, time and at location scheduled. If the adopter fails to bring to date of surgery, the deposit will NOT be refunded. We value the time our Veterinarian's provide us. We are charged a fee for cancellations or no show appointments. Missed appointments also delay care that other animals could be receiving. All animals come from high kill shelters with poor access to resources. Once they arrive to our rescue they are quarantined for health purposes and spoiled in loving foster homes until their forever home is found!
