Over 100 yr old Conn 78H in surprisingly good condition. Except for the contact points on the slide braces and oversleeves, the silver plating is almost 100% intact. There‘s a few dings in the slide crook (that could be easily removed) but I don’t see dents or evidence of repair anywhere else.It is a .522 bore with an 8inch bell—big enough to do a pops program or lighter orchestral stuff but small enough to fit in on 2nd or 3rd in a jazz band. It is ideal for pit orchestras. It plays quite well with no noticeable quirks.The plating on the inner slides, however, is quite worn. The slide is ok. You can still use vibrato and play technical passages with it, but it is not ideal. If I were keeping the horn, I would probably replace or replate the inner slides.Comes with gig bagIf shipping is less than $150, I’ll refund the difference.
