Meet our very handsome Great Dane, Leo. This poor guy has been through a lot in the last couple of weeks. His owner died so he was re-homed to a family friend who had a Great Dane and another large breed dog. For whatever reason, they decided that was not working out and they rushed to find Leo a rescue. We took this big goofball in a heartbeat.Obviously after all he's been through, Leo takes a minute to warm up. Once you get him on your side though, he will show you how fantastic he is! He loves to chase the ball and will even toss it up for himself. He also really loves to play in the hose.Leo is very strong on the leash but we are working on leash manners. Preference will be given to those who have experience with XL breeds, but it's not a deal breaker. New adopter must have a fenced in yard and own their home. Leo would do best in a home alone or with animals his size; no cats or small dogs. Leo needs to be placed with his FOREVER home; he's done enough moving around.Leo is:18 months old (DOB 7/4/2022)120 pounds, but the vet says he needs to gain 20-30 poundsCurrent on vaccines Current on flea/tick preventativesCurrent on heartworm preventativesIf you have any questions or would like to adopt LEO, please reach out to the adoption group directly.
