Closing date: January 1, 2024 Reporting to the Automation Supervisor, the Automation Specialist is responsible for leading, supporting and improving process control improvements for water treatment projects and operations that drive value to Teck. You will collaborate closely with the Water Quality Processing team to safely deliver and maintain a diverse set of technology that is transforming the way Teck operates its water treatment systems. To be successful, we are looking for someone who was excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills. This role requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented teammate who can work independently but also apply a collaborative approach to problem-solving and think strategically to deliver a valuable service strategy. The ability to deliver timely, high-quality results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is vital in this role. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Water Operations and contribute with the goals to operate the active water treatment facility, saturated rock fill and calcite operations efficiently as part of Teck’s overall commitment to meet the requirements of the Elk Valley Water Quality Plan.
