Meet BoomerangSay hello to Boomerang! Boomerang is an adorable Chihuahua mix who is approximately 1-1/2 years old and currently weighs 22 pounds. We rescued him from the Weslaco shelter in south Texas near the border of Mexico. He is just a fun-loving little guy with the sweetest disposition! Boomerang is a happy, social dog who loves everyone he meets. He loves people and is always eager to make a new friend, especially if that friend has some yummy treats! He enjoys playing with his toys and is a very active dog who enjoys exploring his surroundings here at the rescue. He gets along well with the other dogs in his play group and is crate trained for his meals and for sleeping. Boomerang would be a wonderful companion for an active family who can take him on lots of walks and hikes. He is always ready for adventure and just wants to be where his people are. He is just a very sweet boy and we can’t wait for him to find his loving, forever home! Boomerang is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to Clearwater, Florida on December 23, 2023. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $400. The fee includes the transport cost. ***Please note: If approved to adopt, you MUST be available to pick up Boomerang at our adoption event in Clearwater the morning of 12/23. *Boomerang tested positive for Chagas disease and has started his treatment here with us. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol.
