Meet DustySay hello to Dusty! Dusty is a handsome Boxer who is approximately 3 years old and weighs 70 pounds. He was owner-surrendered, through no fault of his own, to the Weslaco shelter in south Texas near the border of Mexico. It was very clear that his previous owners didn’t take very good care of him, as he was covered in fleas and ticks and left in the yard all alone. But all of that is behind him now and we are looking forward to helping him find the forever home he deserves. Dusty is a loyal and loving dog who is doing very well in his foster home. His foster mom says he is a wonderful houseguest and is really enjoying getting attention and love. He enjoys meeting new people and is very friendly and curious. He is treat motivated, has a gentle squishy mouth and is always happy to give kisses. He is smart and learns new routines quickly. Dusty would do well in a home with kiddos who aren’t too tiny, simply because of his size. He is gentle and just loves being with his people as a devoted member of the family. He can be a little picky with his dog friends, so ideally would probably be better suited to a home where he can get all of the attention. Dusty is located in a wonderful foster home near San Antonio, Texas and is available for transport to Clearwater, Florida on December 23, 2023. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $400. The fee includes the transport cost. ***Please note: You MUST be available to pick up Dusty at our adoption event on Saturday morning 12/23.
