Betty Blanca American Pit Bull Terrier Adult Female

Location:
Bellingham, WA
Description:

The absolute cutest thing about Betty Blanca is the contagious pittie smile she always has on her face. This little girl is always happy and the has the cutest face. Betty loves everyone she meets and she is always greeting people with a happy tail. She is also very trusting and loving with new people. She'll let you dress her up in silly costumes and doesn't even try take them off. She really is a sweetheart and she'll make the greatest best friend. Watch her video here: https://youtu.be/12hKs_IgPSs?si=kOtUtbbBKIjE_epZ Betty Blanca is a petite pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 46 lbs and she is full grown! We do not expect her to get much bigger if at all. She is the perfect size, not too big, not too small. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Betty is as sweet as they come. She absolutely loves affection and gives the best kisses. Not only is she super affectionate, she is also very snuggly and so tolerant! Any affection is good affection for this girly. She loves all the affection, she’ll crawl in your lap if you let her. Betty is treat motivated and is so eager to please her people which will make any additional training a breeze. She is already such a smart cookie and knows basic commands such as sit. Betty does need to polish her leash skills but she is eager to learn and corrects easily on a leash. She is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once she is in her forever home. She is dog friendly and does best with slow introductions. She isn’t overly playful and is more of a people’s dog than a dog’s dog. She would do best in home with other dogs that are calm and aloof like her and will respect her space when she wants her space. Betty also would do great as an only dog. She does not need the company of another dog to make her feel comfortable, she is perfectly happy just being around her humans. Betty also did great during her cat test and we’ve had her around our resident cats quite often with no issues. She has been swat down a few times by one of our spicy resident cats with no reactions. We do not know if she has ever lived with cats before nor can we guarantee that things won’t change once in a home. We do believe that with slow and proper introduction she can coexist in the home with cats. We also believe that Betty would make a great family dog with kids. She is medium energy and does not jump for affection or get mouthy and she is so tolerant. We are willing to test Betty Blanca with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know! Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.)• A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)• One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan• 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan• Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
