N. ) administers direct care to an individual or group of residents. Functions under the Mission Statement, Philosophy, objectives and policies of Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home. QUALIFICATIONS: - Ability to speak, read and write English is required – Grade 12 level preferred. - Health Care Aide Certificate from accredited institution. - A neat appearance and a sincere interest in people, the elderly in particular, and a sensitivity to their needs. - Good physical health, emotional stability, and a mature outlook. - Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships. - Is a team player. - Ability to accept guidance and take direction. DUTIES: Assists residents with all activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, transferring, toileting and feeding as assigned by LPN/RN. Assists nurse with treatments by positioning, holding, or supporting the residents. Provides routine nail care to feet and hands. Provides routine oral hygiene including care to dentures. Weighs residents as required. Collects specimens for the lab as required. Answers call lights as required in a timely fashion. Enhances the quality of life of residents by facilitating their attendance at activities, church services, and other activities as required.
