Principle Activities: Time keeping for payroll processing Perform daily transactions such as inventory movement, fixed assets, etc. Perform journal entries Perform daily/weekly/monthly reporting Perform month-end closing activities and reporting Monthly general ledger account reconciliations and prepare account analyses Improve the accuracy & efficiency of inventory information Work with plant management to track and report key performance indicators Communicate with management regarding results of projects and analyses Work closely with plant management and project managers to assist with capital requests and related analysis Perform month-end closing and preparation of the financial statements for the facility Perform detailed review of the financial statements and cost centers with appropriate managers Research discrepancies on monthly reports and prepare detailed explanations Assist in managing inventory levels at the facility Oversee and audit the quarterly physical inventory process Support the assembly of detailed information for financial audits Assist with the annual budget process for the facility Monitor compliance with internal control policies and adherence to SOX requirements Special Projects: Perform other duties and manage projects as needed The Plant Accountant is responsible for the overall accounting at the facility. This position requires a person who understands manufacturing processes and systems and the challenges that are associated with the measurement of these environments. Work Hours: As a professional position, hours are to be worked as required to properly and successfully execute the responsibilities to the standards of the position. Typical hours are expected to be Monday through Thursday within in normal Plant hours, 7:00AM 5:30PM, but may vary and include weekends and evenings as necessary or required by management. Requirements Typical Education/Experience: Bachelor s Degree required; in Business or Accounting 4-7 Years Financial Accounting Experience in manufacturing Typical Skills/Knowledge Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Computer software proficiency with traditional Microsoft Office applications Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task"& manage priorities effectively &exceptional attention to details Solid analytical and problem solving skills Work as a team player Self-motivated and positive attitude Working knowledge of manufacturing/inventory related internal control processes to include 3-way match, variance analysis, property management, physical security, transfer of ownership or responsibility, and cycle counts compensation: 50-60k
