**Magenta is available through the Foster to Adopt Program**Hi, my name is Magenta and I am looking for my forever family. I young adult and I just arrived from Alabama. My foster dad says I have the most kind and loving personality. All I want to do is sit in your lap and snuggle. I love all people and greet my foster dad with enthusiasm, even when he gets back from a short trip to the mail box! I seldom bark unless something startles me and I sleep in my kennel without a peep. I am a recent mom and my three puppies (the Halloween litter) came to Minnesota a couple of months ago. Since I’m not a young puppy any more I don’t need to chew something all the time, but I do love treats and especially anything with peanut butter in it. My front right leg doesn’t work quite right, but I get around just fine and my vetting team is making sure to take the best care of me! I probably won’t be a good jogging buddy but I do well on a leash. I do best with slow, calm introductions to new dogs so I can learn to be comfortable around them. I can’t wait to meet you so we can become best friends!***FOSTER TO ADOPT***Magenta is Heartworm positive and is currently going through treatment. Once her treatment is complete, the adoption can be finalized. Once her adoption is finalized, it is the responsibility of the adoptive family to get a Heartworm test every 2 months to follow up on her treatment progress until she has a negative result which can take 2-9 months. During these months, you will need to make sure her heart rate is not elevated due to high-energy play or exercise. Magenta will also need continued use of monthly Heartworm prevention going forward. These medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. If you are interested in adopting Magenta, please fill out an adoption application. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions.
