This is a 1939 FE Olds Feather Weight Trombone w/Case & Bach 7C Mouthpiece. Made by FE Olds and Son, Los Angeles, California, USA. The serial number has a 7, then a space, then 11941, with matching number on the slide. The mouthpiece is a 7 C Vincent Bach corporation. A couple of very minor dings in the neck of the bell and one right opposite the first bell brace by the serial number. The original lacquer is at roughly 75% intact, and the slide moves freely with some very mild hesitation about halfway extended. The plating on the stockings is 100%. There is no slide lock which I don’t think this era model came with one, and the slide is friction fit. The tuning slide is stuck, and along one outer edge of the tuning slide the tubing is ever so slightly flared, please see the picture. Comes with a brand new Gator hard case.
