1958 F.E. Olds Recording Trumpet Original Lacquer & Case, in excellent condition. This one of the most sought-after Olds Professional trumpets ever made and has a 4.7-inch bell diameter bell with a medium-large (0.460") bore, serial number (2427XX). The original lacquer as a nice patina with some expected wear. No dents, one small ding in the bell tail and a trace of a crease that was removed from the bell (see photos). The slides all move as they should, and the valves have outstanding compression. This horn was produced during the 1950s when the quality control for Olds trumpets was outstanding. Trumpet has excellent intonation and even scale. Will be carefully packaged with the music Lyre and Olds Mendes mouthpiece #2 to be separately wrapped and placed in the storage compartment under the trumpet. Shipping with the United Parcel Service Ground fully insured.
