C. 1948 Olds Recording Tri-Color R-15 Professional Line Dual Bore Trombone!This is my personal trombone that I have owned and played for some 60+ years. My parents bought it for me to replace a beginner's trombone when I made The University of Texas Longhorn Band when beginning college. I played it through my college years while in the band and continued to play it when I was in the Alumni Band until I retired from it a few years ago. It has a beveled and fluted slide which makes it easier to move the slide while reducing friction, thus making playing it much easier. This line has always been extremely popular back in its day and even until now. The engravings are nothing short of artwork. The bell is brass finished. The slide is silver plated. The weight and hand guards are copper. This beauty really stands out in a crowd! According to the serial number, this baby was produced in 1948. As for condition, I believe you couldn't hardly find any used trombone in such excellent condition. There are no significant dents, scratches, or wear marks. This looks and shines like new! In all my years of owning this and playing it on the world stage, I have never seen another trombone I would trade for, Make room on the Top Shelf for this one! See photos.
