Beeper is a sweet little Cattledog mix, he is agile and fun-loving, great off-leash, with good recall, he is great with other dogs most of the time, though possessive of his people. He needs a home without a lot of random people coming and going. Beeper would do best in suburban or rural settings, he is not a city boy. Beeper is dog-friendly but takes a little time to warm up to new people in his space. He is very loving once he likes you and will want to be with you all of the time, he wants to own his people. He would be best with a dog-savvy person who can read his signals and control his possessiveness - he is so charming and loving, it's hard to do! We are thinking that Beeper needs a home with someone around a fair amount, and another dog or two, some Cattledog experience would be beneficial as well. He is bright and will open lever handled doors, and jump over low gates, and through open windows to come find you. He is great out hiking off leash and loves learning tricks. Consistency, plenty exercise and working on enhanced training and trick learning (he is treat motivated and longs to please) and correcting his possessive behaviors will help in having a successful relationship with "The Beeps! Foster notes: "Beeper is such a sweetheart! He's smart and easy-going, is house trained and learned to use the dog door right away. He's playful and fun and also a mellow and cuddly companion once he trusts you. Beeper loves treats and toys and puts up with his feisty foster sister. He's a quick study and will learn new tricks easily. He's an absolute joy as long as you are the only one in the home! (Introductions and boundaries are important...)
