Competition # 395 – 23 - 764016120 Posting End Date: December 5, 2023 City: Winnipeg Work Location: Mac Charles Department: Paul Albrechtsen Research Institute CCMB Union: Non-Union Hiring Status: Term - Grant Funded Anticipated Start Date: January 1, 2024 (may expire with 2 weeks notice) FTE: 1.0 Anticipated Shift: days Daily Hours Worked: 7.5 Annual Base Hours: 1950 Job Summary: The Statistical Programmer is responsible for writing programming code in SAS, R, STATA, or other appropriate programming languages to extract, compile, and analyze data in accordance with a study data analysis plan. Qualifications: Required: Level of Formal Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, computer science or related fields 3 years of directly related work experience Extensive programming experience in SAS and R Experience with data extraction, linkage, cleaning, and manipulation Experience using common statistical analyses such as Cox Regression, generalized linear models Experience managing advanced and complex datasets An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Skills and Abilities Knowledge of assumptions required for statistical analyses Strong SAS and R programming skills Strong communication skills, both oral and written Ability to work independently and able to follow detailed protocols with minimal supervision Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Strong time management and organization skills Detail orientated Other Must have satisfactory employment record Must.
