Teck is looking for an experienced Production Superintendent to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to the Operating Manager, E&M, the Production Superintendent, Melting manages and directs the day-to-day operations of the Melting Plant. To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with proven leadership, organization, problem solving, decision making and communication skills along with a strong track record of meeting production goals in an industrial environment. This role is based in the welcoming community of Trail, situated in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Here you will find outdoor adventure at your fingertips! Responsibilities: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Lead and oversee the Melting Plant’s operations including safety, environmental, production, quality, hygiene and housekeeping ensuring standards, policies and procedures are followed in compliance with regulations and agreements Set plant priorities and align objectives and goals with Operating Manager Guide process standardization and operational expertise to team and resolve frequently changing processes Audit plant performance to ensure effective operations.
