Lange Sohne Included Items: Manufacture's Box and Papers Description: It was a tradition at Lange to usher in a new century with a formidable accomplishment in mechanical watchmaking. The year 2000 was no exception. This was also the start of a new millenium and this timepiece is a fitting way to usher in such an historic time. The edition of the LANGE 1 TOURBILLON (this model in Platinum) was limited to 150 watches in platinum and 250 in pink gold. Dial: solid silver. Hands: Rhodiumed gold. Case: Diameter 38.5mm, Height 10mm.Sapphire crystal glass and caseback. Strap: Hand-stitched crocodile with a platinum ardillon buckle. Movement: Calibre L961.1 manually wound, twin barrels Patented outsize date, stop seconds, Progressive Power reserve indicator. Power reserve of 72 hours. The LANGE 1 TOURBILLON has a delicate cage that rotates about its own axis once a minute to cancel out the effects of gravity on rate accuracy. The miniature steel cage of the tourbillon containing the balance wheel, the balance spring, and the escapement, consists of 72 parts and is suspended between two diamond endstones. Limited Edition: 150 pieces. With this watch Lange ennobled the Centennial Tourbillon with the inimitable personality of the LANGE 1. The limited edition consisted of 250 watches in pink gold and 150 in platinum. The series was produced from 2000 to 2003.
