I have an Elgin pocketwatch for sale. The date is either 1916 or 1917 as per 2 various local jewlers. They made this determination based on the repair service marks made on the inside of the watch case. When the watch is opened to expose the mechanics, it checks out that there are "15 Jewels." It likewise reads that the watch is 10K Gold Filled. The watch runs by winding it by hand. The watch was recently serviced and is in ideal working condition.
