Made Possible.MISSION / SUMMARY:The Electrical Engineer Advisor will result in multiple assignments throughout the plant and will primarily provide technical support within the multiple departments. This position will work closely with maintenance personal to develop and implement best practices to improve safety, quality, productivity and cost reduction.The successful candidate will provide support for various equipment controls and repair projects including but not limited to: providing support for electro-mechanical troubleshooting, support for trials and investigations of innovative technologies. This position will support the plant's Key Performance Indicators (KPI) management system as required.Candidate must be a self-starter, self-directed, capable of taking initiative to move forward with ideas, committed and able to influence others, as well as capable of collaborating with team members to solve chronic issues. The ideal candidate must learn quickly and be results driven.This position is required to be periodically on-call and able to provide guidance to maintenance personnel. A strong electrical troubleshooting background to support multiple PLC and AC/DC drive platforms is required.Candidate will also drive best practices in safety solutions and ensure the safety of all operations, maintenance and staff personnel.Overall, individual must be organized, analytical, decisive, action oriented and a team player. Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability communicate effectively with individuals within all levels of the organization.Responsibilities include: * Comply with all Company and department safety policies, procedures and programs. Identify safety short falls and strives to eliminate them. * Review and provide solutions for chronic downtime issues. * Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues. * Train maintenance personnel. * Coordinate communications and efforts with internal and external resources to troubleshoot equipment and to execute repairs, PM's, and upgrades to equipment and tooling. Participate in planning meetings with Maintenance. Development and execution of CI projects. * Perform RCFEs on equipment failures. * Updating and creating electrical schematics. * Maintain backups software and drawings.KEY COMPETENCIES * Action Oriented * Problem Solving / Technical Skills * Drive for Results * Timely Decision Making * Priority Setting * Conflict Management * DirectingOthers * Computer software (i.e. EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT, SAP) * PLC Programming/Troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Lenze) * AC/DC Drive Troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Lenze, Rexroth, Leroy-Somers/Control Techniques) * HMI Development (Wonderware, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Maple Systems)EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: * 5 years of relative work experience is required. * Bachelor Degree (Preferred) - Electrical engineering/ Engineering Technology discipline or equivalate work experience. * Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software; AutoCad, SolidWorks, and SAP a plus. * Master Electrician License- Preferred Graphic Packaging is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
