Meet Porter! This silly little guy sure knows how to brighten up a room! Whether it's his underbite, his constant need for attention or his silly personality, he'll be sure to make you laugh every day! This boy was found with 3 other dogs, abandoned behind a grocery store in Texas. Porter was the leader of the pack and very protective of his little family.Porter's foster parents have been working very hard to gain his trust! It took a few days, but he settled in much faster than expected and we learned so much about him! He gets along very well with other dogs, but is instantly protective of them in a kennel environment. He wants to make sure no one harms his friends! He's made friends somewhat with his foster parents cats, he is very curious of them and wants to know what they're doing at all times! He's a couch potato and will also hang out and watch TV! Porter needs an experienced adopter that will give him the time to settle in. He would do better in a home with another dog for a companion, as he does have a bit of separation anxiety when he's left alone. Don't miss out on Porter! He arrives in Wisconsin on 10/20! **Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided.
