This handsome, lovable, brindle, big-headed buddy, is Rusty. Rusty is a 10 year old, unbelievably sweet bully breed mix whose favorite things are snacks, tennis balls and chin scratches. We DO know that he is a very opportunistic scavenger; he follows his nose like crazy and will vacuum up the floor of any tasty spills! He needs some work on his manners, since he loves his snacks with a passion, but he is a very gentle, special guy! He has been here since 9/30, and is having a difficult time finding an adoptive match. Rusty was brought in by an Animal Management Officer after someone reported that he was possibly hit by a car. He, luckily, had no broken bones, and is doing very well here! Rusty is mostly, if not completely, deaf, and also has Heartworm Disease, but none of this stops him from being one of the snuggliest canines you have ever met! He will need treatment, and the shelter can currently treat him while he is in an adoptive home, so if you are interested in Rusty, don't let his diagnosis stop you! He is a staff and volunteer favorite and with some TLC, he will be a fantastic companion!
