Lexi is a 2020 registered AQHA mare. She stands at 14.2 and is built just right. She has solid ground manners and is very quiet natured. She stands tied, loads, bathes, lunges and backs respectfully, great with the farrier and vet. She's used to the chaos of a barn full of children, dogs, 4-wheelers, and tractors. She holds her own in the pasture and is an easy keeper. She's a piece of cake to catch and will often come to her name. She's had some hobble and leg restraint training for her safety and can lead by the feet. She stands quietly to be tacked and lowers her head for haltering and bridling. No bite, kick, pushiness, or disrespectful behavior.Under saddle she is soft and supple, responsive and relaxed. She's got a smooth walk, trot, and lope both on a loose rein and collected. She's got great shoulder and hip control, sidepasses, counterbends, picks up her leads, neck reins, stops and backs with light pressure. She's used to busy arenas and can tolerate horses running into her, riding up close, and being generally invasive. On the trail she'll ride out alone or be content in the front, middle, or back of a group as well. She crosses bridges, ditches, creeks, ponds, busy roads, and been ridden into town and with cows. She's ponied other horses, carries saddle bags, and can be ridden bareback. I've hauled her around some to overnight camping sites and other locations and she treats each new place like home. She's never offered to buck, rear, or bolt.Lexi is loaded with personality and will make someone a great partner. What I love about her is that she can go any direction from here.As a family horse: She's gentle and calm.As a show prospect: She's athletic and smart. She's a pleaser and a quick learner.As a trail horse: She's brave, adventurous, and sure footed.Lexi has a solid foundation and I look forward to pairing her with the right person. I'm in no hurry to sell her as I thoroughly enjoy riding her, and finding a great home is a must. She's been at our farm since she was a yearling, so I know her very well.
