Stiles is a HAPPY BOY!He was abandoned and when we found him, he had lump in his stomach, which turned out to be a bone from his broken leg pushing down into his abdomen -- the lump was his body trying to accommodate the bone by building a pocket around it. (Neither our vet or the orthopedic veterinarian have ever seen anything like this before.) Even with the pain he had to have been suffering, Stiles was never anything but a sweet, loving dog. He had surgery to repair the broken leg and the damage to his abdomen. Unfortunately, his leg was too damaged for the pins to hold and his damaged leg ultimately had to be amputated. Stiles is learning life as a tripod, and through it all, has remained the same happy dog who loves people.It would be wonderful if this teddy bear of a dog had a home to call his own and a family to love. Stiles is a year old, neutered and has been good around other dogs. We do not know about cats.
