Posted 10/30/19. Tippy arrived at The Nest wafter she was rescued by an individual who could not keep her. We think Tippy is a Maltese/Westie mix. She definitely has terrier in her both in looks and temperament. Tippy has a wonderful personality: she is very friendly and outgoing, she gets along very well with other dogs and is fine with cats. She is also very well behaved, someone worked on training her, she is house trained, she knows "sit" and she is crate trained. She is not a barker and she is always eager to please her human. Typical for a terrier, she is easily excitable and always up for an adventure! Tippy LOVES to play, especially with other dogs about her size. She likes going for walks and she is a good sport on car rides. She loves being with her human and curling up in your lap when you sit on the couch. All around Tippy is just a little gem! For Tippy we are looking for a home with humans that are very active, that like to go for long walks and/or hikes as being active is what keeps Tippy happy and healthy. We also are looking for a home where there is another playful and active dog about her size and close to her age (she is between 3-4 yrs. old) so that she will have a canine buddy to wrestle and play with. A securely fenced in yard is not a must but preferred. Dog savvy children from age 8up are fine as well. Tippy weighs 8.5lbs., she is current on vaccinations including Rabies, she is spayed, she tested negative for heartworm and she is micro chipped.
