Wow...I don't think I've ever met a dog that has been so let down by humans and yet loves people so much! Birdie came into TAPS heartworm positive and with deep gashes on her underside where her family put on a harness and let it grow into her skin. Despite her past, she knows her future is bright. She is alert and active and craves attention from all of our staff and volunteers. Birdie seems like she'd do well in any family that revolves their life around giving their dog attention. She definitely wants to be by her human. She seems dog friendly but we've never had her directly with another dog so a dog to dog intro would be required. Cats unknown.Birdie will be finished with heartworm treatment soon so apply today!
