Kisha_A199342Kisha is a 9-year-old, spayed female, black and white Border Terrier mix that weighs 46 pounds. Kisha is a MEDIUM SIZE dog, she is NOT SMALL. She was surrendered by her former family on 10/02/19 because they could no longer care for her.Kisha is an indoor dog that is house trained and crate trained. She is a bit shy when meeting new people, but if they go slow with her, she becomes a very sweet, goofy girl that loves attention. She also LOVES to play with toys. Her favorite thing to do is walk around with them in her mouth and give them a good shake occasionally. Kisha would be an excellent dog for any active person or family with junior-high-age children. She does not do well with younger children; she gets really nervous if someone tries to hug her or touch her ears. Kisha is a really sweet, high energy and girl that walks excellent on the leash, knows the sit command and will take food gently from your hand. It`s hard to believe she is 9 years old-she had the energy level of a 3-year-old dog!When Kisha first arrived at the shelter, she had infections in both her ears, which were treated with topical and oral antibiotics. She may be prone to infections in the future if not kept on a grain-free diet. Kisha previously lived with other dogs her size and could do so again; If you have another dog and are interested in adopting Kisha, bring them to the shelter with you and our staff will help you with a meet and greet. She is neutral toward the cats here at the shelter. Kisha`s $40 adoption fee includes her annual booster vaccine, rabies vaccine, microchip, leash, collar and goody bag!
