Meet Canelo. This boy is definitely shy at first and needs a little time to feel comfortable at strangers. But he will warm and bring a smile to your face in no time. He's a pro at playing fetch and will gladly fetch the ball for as long as you want to throw it. Whether he's zooming around the yard or chasing after his beloved balls, Canelo is always on the move!What really makes Canelo stand out is his smarts and quick-learning abilities. He's got all the basic commands down pat and was a breeze to potty train. This well-behaved boy even sleeps inside a crate at night without any trouble.And wait, there's more! Canelo is also super considerate will share his food with his foster siblings. He patiently waited for them to finish their taste test before continuing his meal. Talk about a big-hearted and kind soul!Canelo's favorite pastime is fetching, but he also loves going for walks and playing with his doggie friends. He would love to have a doggie sibling in his new home to play with. And don't worry about aggression, because Canelo is a gentle soul who loves giving affection to anyone who comes his way.He was not exposed to a lot of new people as a puppy. He would do best in a home with a confident and patient owner who show him new experiences and push him out of his comfort bubble. An assertive doggie sibling to show him that new things aren't scary would also help this boy overcome his fears and become the best version of himself that he can be.Canelo has already made the journey from Houston to the PNW. He is being fostered in Independence, OR and is available for meet and greet for interested applicants.Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue?
