Hi! My name is Cairo. The vet thinks I am around 7-10 months old and believe that I am a Belgian Malinois/Doberman mix. I am shy at first but once I am comfortable, you will see that I am very energetic and full of love. I love to run and get to go to the park a couple of times a week to run my energy out. I love humans (big and small)/all dogs and do fine with cats as well. I currently live with 3 big dogs and 2 cats and my foster always has her grandchildren over and I love them. I’m a pretty smart boy, I don’t cry in the kennel, and I’m real good about holding my bladder in the kennel too. I love to snuggle with my teenage foster boy and play tug of war. I love running through the house with a shoe in my mouth. I am still a puppy and love to chew so my foster always has chew toys for me. My foster has taught me sit and down and I know how to get in my kennel on command. I am still learning kitchen manners as I get so curious when I smell something good. Now I’m sure a lot of y’all are wondering how such an adorable little face like mine ended up needing to be rescued? Well I was dumped on some property outside of Houston with barb wire around my neck and a piece of my tongue cut out. The owner of theo property reached out to my current foster and asked her to help. I was so grateful for the love that I am receiving that I am trying to be a real good boy and follow my older foster dogs and do what they do. They are teaching me a lot and my foster says all the time how smart I am and that she is going to miss me soooooo much. She nursed me back to health and made sure I got the vet care that I needed and has me at a normal weight now with a beautiful coat. She says that I will make someone lucky a great friend and that I am so grateful for the love that I receive and love to give it back.
